Region Soccer Games Set For Tuesday

Eight local girls soccer teams will play region semfinal matches Tuesday evening.

In Class A/AA region 3, CSAS will play at McMinn Central and Grace will travel to East Hamilton

In Class A/AA region 4, Smith County will play at Notre Dame and CCS will take a trip to Murfreesboro to play Murfreesboro Central.

In Class AAA, Soddy-Daisy will host Coffee County and Ooltewah will play at Warren County. 

Only, semifinal winners will advance playing in region finals on Thursday.

  Both region runner-up and champions will play on Saturday in state sectional games.

Atwood Gets 9-Year Prison Sentence In Traffic Death Of Friend

A man who police said was traveling 70 miles per hour on a side street in St. Elmo when he wrecked and killed one of his close friends was sentenced Monday to nine years in prison.
