Chattanooga Junior Rowing competed in the Hobbs Island Regatta in Huntsville on Saturday and had several gold, silver and bronze medal winners.
CJR planned to race 18 boats, but several boats were not allowed to race due to deteriorating water conditions in the afternoon.
Gold medal winners were Mens Single -Joe Garner, Mens Pair – Connor and Quinn Nash, Womens
Quad – Susie Zeglen, Lauren Simpson, Gentry Whittaker, and Raegan Johnson, Mens Quad – David
May, Quinn Nash, Connor Nash, and Michael von Peters.
Silver medal winners were Womens Single-Andi Cabrera, Mens Single-Matt Kneidler, Womens Quad-
Aubrey Gardin, Sarah McDonald, Meghan Ray, and Audrey Moorehead, Womens 4- Susie Zeglen,
Lauren Simpson, Gentry Whittaker, Raegan Johnson with Tanner Eaton, coxswain.
Bronze medal winner were Womens Eight – Audrey Moorehead, Emma Lynch, Elizabeth Fortin,
Katie Sutton, Sarah McDonald, Meghan Ray, Aubrey Gardin, and Olivia Anderson with Michaela
Leaf, coxswain, and the Novice Womens 4- Chloe Vernon, Lauralee Rast, Temple Glascock, Victoria
Karnauch, and Madeleine Fox, coxswain.
Fourth place finishers were Mens Novice 4 and Womens 4.
