Quiet Spaces, with husband and wife landscape painters Scott and Tatiana Hill, will be the November exhibit at River Gallery.
Scott Hill often depicts a solitary figure against a sweeping backdrop, reminiscent of the Romantic era's interest in man's meditation and awe of nature.
Tatiana Hill paints organic and non-figurative forms, fluid to the point of abstraction, characterized by luminosity and spatial dynamism.
There will be an artist reception on Friday, Nov. 2, from 6:30-8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
