Here is the weekly top 10 for Chattanooga Parks and Recreation:

#1  Free Dreamnight and Spooktacular Dance Thursday at the Zoo, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The Chattanooga Zoo's annual Boo in the Zoo celebration include cartoon characters, trick-or-treat stations, costume contests, games, a dance/DJ, and more.  This is a non-scary Halloween event.  Dreamnight is a free, open house event for individuals with special needs and/or terminal illnesses and their families or caretakers. Dreamnight offers a VIP Zoo visit that acknowledges and accommodates the unique circumstances that generally limit relaxing outings for these families during normal operating hours. Please RSVP to the Zoo at 697-1319.

#2  Free third annual Fall Festival at Westside Community Center. Friday, 4-7p.m.   Free community event for participants and their families with fun, including an astro jump, food, games, music, face painting, CFD fire truck, and the CPD drug task force trailer...just to name a few.  Call 756-3541.

#3  Haunted Canoe Rides on the North Chick Friday, 6-10 p.m.  at Outdoor Chattanooga at Greenway Farm, 5051 Gann Store Rd., Hixson. Cost: $15 per person. No reservations required.  First come, first served. Did you know that North Chickamauga Creek is inhabited by ghouls, ghosties, boogers and haints? Take a hay ride and fully guided canoe ride up the Creek to discover what the creepy residents (dead and alive) are up to. Call 643-6888 for more information.

#4  Free East Lake Community Center Scary Room of Fun.  Friday from 6-8 p.m.  Non-perishable food donations will be collected.  All proceeds benefit the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. For more information contact the East Lake staff at 867-4498.

#5  Free Mayhem at the Library Saturday, in the auditorium from 7-9 p.m. All teens ages 12-18 are welcome. This event will have murder mystery, tarot card readings, karaoke, and costume contests. For more information contact Della Phipps at 757-5310 or phipps_d@lib.chattanooga.gov

#6  Free East Lake Community Center Fall Carnival Saturday. Greater Liberty Temple presents Fall Carnival 2012. Food, fun, and fellowship. 2-5 p.m.  For more information contact East Lake staff at 867-4498. 

#7  Free Barktoberfest at Greenlife.   Join DOGood at Greenlife Saturday from 1-4 p.m., as we celebrate "Howloween" in true DOGood style - bring your leashed pup (costumes preferred, but not necessary), costume yourself, too, and come to the Greenlife Courtyard for tons of fun with the pups and their people. Nooga Paws is donating the prizes - best dressed human and dog couple or family, best dressed boy dog, best dressed girl dog, and a drawing for a grand prize. Free treats for pups, and fun for all. Sponsored by DOGood for a Dog Friendly Chattanooga, a volunteer citizens' group, working in collaboration with the Chattanooga Parks and Rec Dept. to teach responsible dog guardianship.  #8  Free Chattanooga Market Presents The Haunted Market Sunday. Enjoy fall produce, pumpkins, local art and unique gifts for early holiday shopping. Bring your ghosts and goblins for trick or treating at vendor booths.  Plus, three costume parades for all ages: noon, 1:30 and 3 p.m.

#9  Free Trunk or Treat at Shepherd Center. Oct. 29, 5-7 p.m. and chili supper.  Bring the kids and spoons. Call 855-2697 to donate a pot of chili or your truck.

Fishing Report From The TWRA

Here is the fishing report from the TWRA: Caney Fork: Fishing is good. Several trout are being caught in period of no flow, while fishing with flies.  Some nice browns have been caught near Carthage while using spoons and spinners. Center Hill: Fishing is good.
