Police have arrested 19-year-old Roland Denzel Price on robbery and kidnapping charges after the victim in the case said he recognized him as one of two men who held him up Wednesday.

Kevin Woodard said he was going to a friend's apartment when two males with guns came up from behind him. He said one of the robbers racked his gun, while the other stuck his weapon to his head.

They demanded that he "give it up" and began patting him down. They took his wallet and cellphone and forced him to drive them in his car to Conner Road. He said when they arrived there they told him to call some of his friends so they could rob them.

He said about that time a police car was nearby and the pair got scared and ran off.

The victim said he had retained his cellphone and called for help. Officers went with him to the robbery scene and found his wallet and a single 9mm round on the ground.

A report came of a suspicious person on Conner Road, and police caught Price after a lengthy foot pursuit. The victim made a positive identification.
