Arrests have been made in two armed robberies at the same store on Dodson Avenue. The same clerk at Big K Market was held up both times.

Ralph Goicoecher said in an incident on Aug. 18, two young black males entered the store and demanded money. One of the suspects pointed a gun toward him and ordered him to open the cash register. He was also told to get down on the floor.

The clerk said both robbers suddenly ran out of the store without taking anything.

The clerk said he recognized one of the robbers as being a regular customer. On Oct. 9, he spotted a photo of Dmarcus Ladell Collins in the Just Busted paper. He said he was one of the pair who tried to rob him.

Collins, 19, of 1901 Ivy St., was charged with aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $50,000.

The same clerk said on Oct. 3 two black males entered the store and demanded money. One was armed with a chrome revolver.

The gunman held customers at bay while the second suspect went behind the counter  and took approximately $130 from the cash register. Both robbers then ran out of the store toward Rawlings Street.

The clerk again recognized one of the robbers as a regular customer who he had talked to several times.

Police said they were advised that one of the robbers went by the street name "Nooky." It was found that his true name was Solomon Pierce.

Pierce, 18, of 862 N. Orchard Knob Ave., was charged with aggravated robbery. He is held under a $50,000 bond.
