A sea of orange now covers the Normal Park Museum Magnet Upper School’s front lawn after hundreds of volunteers emptied an entire semi-truck load of pumpkins on Monday. It is all part of the school’s first annual Great Pumpkin Sale.
Proceeds from the sale of the more than 3,000 pumpkins will benefit the nearly 900 students of Normal Park Museum Magnet—enabling the school to purchase much needed education technology.
“The sale is open to the public every day through October 30,” said Maryn Buckley, event chairman. “But be sure to come early to have your pick of the best pumpkins."
Normal Park Upper school is conveniently located in North Chattanooga at 1219 W. Mississippi Ave., on the corner of Mississippi and Dallas Road. Official sale hours are Monday-Friday from 12-6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday, from 12-6 p.m.
“We’re so grateful for the support of the community, and look forward to seeing everyone at the Great Pumpkin Sale,” said Jill Levine, NPMM principal.
