Mocs Host No. 2 Georgia Southern Saturday, Kids Free

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team welcomes No. 2 Georgia Southern to Finley Stadium this weekend. The Mocs host the Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 6:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) for a pivotal Southern Conference matchup.

Chattanooga is 4-3 overall and riding a three-game winning streak after a 20-13 win over Samford last weekend. UTC is one of three teams in the SoCon with just one loss, holding a 3-1 record in league play.

Georgia Southern is ranked No.

2 in the nation in both major FCS polls and has a 6-1 overall record. The Eagles are 5-1 in SoCon action and their only loss was a 23-21 setback at The Citadel on Sept. 8. GSU is the highest ranked team to visit Finley Stadium since No. 2 Appalachian State in the 2008 season.

The Mocs will be participating in theNCAA's "Take a Kid to the Game" (TAKG) promotion this weekend. Kids, ages fourteen and younger, will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket, to watch the Mocs take on the Eagles.
