“14 Days” Video Series Documents Last Two Weeks Of McGary Campaign

Thursday, October 25, 2012

Andrae McGary on Wednesday posted the first of 14 videos designed to chronicle the last two weeks of his campaign before Election Day, Nov. 6.

At the close of each day, the state Senate candidate said he will post an approximately two-and-a-half minute video showing voters what it’s like to run for office: the public appearances, finding time to be with family, the ongoing efforts to get the campaign’s message out. The first video was posted on YouTube and on Mr. McGary’s Facebook page Wednesday.

The first video in the “14 Days” series explores the making of the rap video designed to reach out to younger voters that Mr. McGary posted last week. The final one will be posted on Nov. 6.

“I’ve always been the underdog in this race, and from the beginning we’ve searched for different ways to reach people,” Mr. McGary said. “I want to show people that it’s been a fight, but it’s been well worth it. I believe people will be interested in seeing just what it takes to run a campaign.”

The first video can be found here.
