The Signal Mountain Lions Club has formed a senior service committee which is gathering information from agencies and local governments to explore the needs of seniors in the Signal Mountain community and provide services to meet those needs. The first activity will be bingo at the Bachman Community Center. The first meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 13.
The plan is to provide a modest meal of soup and bread for the senior community (over 60) in the 37377 zip code and an activity one day a week on Tuesdays from noon to 2 p.m. The meal is to be served from noon to 12:30 p.m., with the activity from 12:30-2. The activity will be bingo until enough seniors have suggested other activities they would like to have.
Signal Mountain Lions club members will cook and serve the soup at noon for $2 and provide bingo for free, with prizes donated from local businesses. Please call John Moon with the Signal Mountain Lions Club at 992-4080 to reserve a seat or for more information.
