Lake Winnie Keeps Growing With New Attraction

Rossville's Lake Winnepesaukah keeps going strong with a planned five-acre water park opening next summer.
 
Guests will also enjoy the familiar attractions, such as the Boat Chute, the Cannon Ball and the antique carousel for one admission price.
 
Lake Winnie has been operated by the same family since 1925. The Boat Chute opened in 1927 and was the precursor to today's log flumes.

Gatlinburg Celebrates 41 Years Of 4th Of July Midnight Parade

Gatlinburg celebrated the 41 st  Anniversary of the 4 th  of July Midnight Parade in grand style. County Schools Receive Community Gift For Almost $1 Million To Fund Public School Bible History Program

Bible in the Schools presented a community gift for nearly $1 million to the Hamilton County Department of Education (HCDE) to reimburse 100 percent of the costs of funding a Bible history program in 18 public schools for the 2015–2016 academic year. DA's Office Defends Suspended Sentence In School Bus Driver Rape Case

The District Attorney's Office defended a controversial suspended sentence in a rape case involving a substitute county school bus driver.
