Cleveland State Hosts Nursing Information Session Nov. 5

Cleveland State Community College will be hosting its annual Nursing Information Session on Monday, Nov. 5 from 5-6:30 p.m. The event will take place in Room 113 of the George R. Johnson Cultural Heritage Center Rooms.

Representatives from the CSCC Nursing Department, Financial Aid, the ACCESS Center, and the Students Nurses Association will be available during the session to answer questions about the nursing program. Prospective students will learn about admission testing, ways to deal with anxiety associated with test taking, the requirements to enter the day sequence of the nursing program, and will be able to take a tour of the nursing media center and lab.

Victoria Hight, Associate Professor of Nursing and Chair of the Admissions Committee, stated, “We enjoy working with our future nursing students. We are always happy to assist them in the application process.”

“We are very proud of our Nursing Program,” stated Nancy LaBine, Dean of Health and Wellness and Director of Nursing. “We look forward each year to meeting eager students at the nursing information sessions. It is an honor to train future nurses.”

Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest.
