Two men have been charged with following two other men from the Walnut Street Bridge to a nearby parking lot, then robbing and kidnapping them.
Arrested were Charles Lee Mayweather, 25, of Nashville and David Lee Mayweather, 24, of 101 E. 20th St.
The arrests came after one of the alleged robbers went into the business of one of the victims.
Randy Petty and Hunter Ramsey said they were walking on the bridge at 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 13. They said two black males followed them from the bridge to a parking lot at 2nd and Walnut.
One of the black males displayed a handgun and demanded that they take them to Memorial Hospital. A gun was held on them as they complied with the request.
The pair robbed them of a cellphone, pocket knife and military issue fleece jacket.
When the vehicle arrived at Memorial Hospital, the robbers got out and fled.
One of the victims said he was working at a shoe store when Charles Mayweather came in. Police were called and Mayweather was detained.
Police said Charles Mayweather freely admitted to being involved in the holdup.
Both of the victims made a positive identification of him.
David Lee Mayweather was arrested over the weekend.
