Savor - The Scenic City's Cook-Off Is This Weekend

The competition is heating up for the upcoming Savor – The Scenic City’s Cook-off. The Junior League of Chattanooga invites the public for a day of food and fun while several area businesses compete for a chance to win the title of “Best Stew in Town." 

Sponsors, Suntrust Bank, Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, PLLC, Erlanger Hospital, Terminal Brewhouse, Hair of the Dog, Chattanooga Friends and Brock Insurance, will present their culinary creations to the secret panel of judges.

Organizers said, "For $15 at the door, you can enjoy all the stews and chili you can handle while taking in the great entertainment Savor has to offer." 

Everyone who attends Saturday’s event will also receive a coupon for $2 off the general admission at the Children’s Discovery Museum. You can save $5 and purchase your tickets early by visiting online at www.jlchatt.org or by calling 423 267-5053 .

This family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, at AT&T Field from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and will benefit JLC’s mission of developing women, improving the community and promoting volunterism. Officials said, "Our stew masters have been training for weeks so make Savor your lunchtime destination this weekend. Come hungry and ready to experience an exciting competition."

The official “Cookbook of Chattanooga”, Seasoned to Taste, will also be available at the event for $29.95.This award-winning cookbook is a compilation of the best recipes passed down through generations of women and handpicked by the women of the JLC. Additionally, 94% of all cookbook proceeds and monies raised by the League go back to support the mission and vision of the JLC. This fall, the JLC will be awarding $25,000 to teachers in Hamilton County through our Mini-Grants Program. .


Grand Opening Of The Patio Diner Is Saturday
