Best Cellars, the wine tasting event that precedes Cornerstones' annual Wine Over Water event, will be held Friday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Chattanoogan.
Tickets are on sale and are $100 per person. This is a limited ticket event. Best Cellar tickets may be purchased on-line at www.wineoverwater.org.
Best Cellars is for connoisseurs and aficionados of fine wine who may prefer a more quiet setting in which to enjoy and learn more about international and domestic wines. The premium wine selections are handpicked by the participating wineries and are different from the wines poured during Wine Over Water the following day.
"This is the tenth year we have held Best Cellars and it is a favorite for those who not only want to taste rare and exceptional wine, but learn more about wines in the process," said Ann Gray, executive director of Cornerstones, Inc., the event's beneficiary.
Guests can browse special wine and wine accessories in the silent auction while enjoying live music and heavy hors d'oeuvres.
The following day, Saturday, the 18th annual Wine Over Water will be held on the historic Walnut Street Bridge. This is another limited ticket event with tickets on sale now for $65 per person, and, if available, $70 at the gate. Wine Over Water tickets can also be purchased online at www.wineoverwater.org.
Proceeds from both events benefit Cornerstones, Inc, Chattanooga’s only non-profit historic preservation organization. Cornerstones exists to preserve the architectural heritage and urban fabric of downtown Chattanooga. Visit cornerstonesinc.org for more information about its preservation mission.
