Gann, East Ridge Soccer Alum Honored

Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of Week

Former East Ridge soccer player Brooke Gann and a current sophomore at Trevecca Nazarene (Nashville) has been selected as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference women's soccer player of the week for matches played Sept.23-30.

Gann had a hat trick - the team's first this season - in Trevecca's 9-0 win against Tennessee Temple on Sept. 27.

The Trojans are 3-2-2 on the season and host  Lincoln Memorial today at 5 p.m. EDT.

Gann has started in six matches and leads the team in goals scored with four.

 

 

 

 


UTC Assistant Football Coaches To Speak At Quarterback Club

The three new UTC assistant football coaches - Tony Brown, Shawn Bryson and Rod West - are the scheduled speakers at Monday's Chattanooga Quarterback Club lunch at Finley Stadium at  noon .   The lunch is $10 and is open to the public.   UTC is in the middle of spring practice and the Spring Game is set for  April 18 . City Set To Commission $200,000 Mural On MLK Boulevard By Famed Muralist Meg Saligman; Foundations To Cover Cost

The city is set to commission a $200,000 mural on the side of the AT&T Building on MLK Boulevard by famed muralist Meg Saligman. Ms. Saligman has created over 50 murals all over the world, including one called  "Fertile Ground" that is 32,500 square feet in Omaha, Neb.
