Jim Lewis For State Senate

Tuesday, October 30, 2012

I have known Jim Lewis, who is running for State Senate in District 16, for quite a few years and I would like to tell you what I know to be true about the man. Jim is passionate about public education because he knows that an educated workforce is integral to a strong economy; an educated citizenry is integral to a strong democracy; and an educated populace is integral to a strong society. Therefore, he will be tireless in his efforts to improve public education.

Jim Lewis has been a pharmacist for 42 years. He is therefore knowledgeable about healthcare from both provider and patient standpoints. He will be a powerful voice to ensure that all our citizens have affordable and accessible healthcare while also being responsive to the needs of healthcare providers.

As a small businessman, Jim is aware of the challenges business people and farmers face. He is also a strong supporter of all working men and women. Without a strong workforce, businesses cannot succeed and without strong businesses, workers cannot succeed. Therefore, Jim Lewis knows that the needs of both businesses and workers must be met for our economy to prosper and he will work to ensure the success of both workers and businesses.

Jim also believes that a decent society provides for its seniors, its children and its disabled and he will be their voice in the legislature also.

I strongly support Jim Lewis for state senate and ask that you also vote for him.

The Country Club Wavemakers have been a dominant force in the Chattanooga Area Swim League in years past when they were associated with Shepherd Hills.
