The ERFC Indoor Soccer League will have from U4 to U19 youth divisions and adult play for U30, Over 30 and U40.

"Our ERFC soccer program has enjoyed a banner year," said East Ridge Parks and Recreation Director Stump Martin. "ERFC President Jon Hooper, ERFC Director of Coaching Matt Yelton, Athletic Director Shawnna Skiles,  Parks Superintendent Wayne Thompson the ERFC Board and great volunteers have worked together to lead a highly successful soccer program. They will all work with Arena Superintendent Bill Owens in an attempt to make this the best indoor soccer season ever."

The 2012-2013 indoor season will run from Nov. 17-Feb. 10 with the season ending with a round-round championship tournament featuring every division.

Mr. Hooper said this season year is the beginning of the ERFC era.

"The scheduling will be solid and available at the coaches meeting and it will not change every week," Mr. Hooper said.

The former East Ridge Soccer Association president said there has been more than 2,000 players to participate in indoor soccer in some seasons and he is expecting a large number again.

"Players love the speed of the (indoor) game," Mr. Hooper said. "Soccer players can continue to enjoy the game over the winter months to allow year round play and improve their foot skills."

The veteran soccer administrator said indoor soccer is more compact and there's no offsides.

Cost per player in all of the divisions is $80 and players are able to sign up as a team.

The recreation division players will all get a T-shirt and all other teams will supply their own jersey or T-shirt.

Signups are currently being held at the East Ridge Community Center on Tombras Avenue from Tuesday through Friday from 12-4 p.m.

Players may register online and make payments at www.eastridgeparksandrec.com under soccer and then go to indoor soccer.

Signups are also Saturday, Nov. 3, and Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Camp Jordan Soccer Pavilion next to the old concessions building.
