Miller And Martin Adds Jennifer Terry To The Firm’s Labor And Employment Department

Miller & Martin PLLC announced Jennifer W. Terry as its newest associate to the firm. Ms. Terry has joined the firm as an associate in the Labor & Employment Department in its Chattanooga office.

Originally from Signal Mountain, Ms. Terry graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002 with a B.A. in English. While at MTSU, she was recognized as an Honors College Graduate and received the English Department’s Richard and Virginia Peck Award along with the Homer Pittard Writing Award.  She also studied abroad at the University of Havana in Cuba. Ms. Terry received her M.A. in Comparative Literature from Louisiana State University in 2005 where she was awarded a research and teaching assistantship.  Prior to attending law school, she worked at the law firm of Davis & Hoss, P.C. where she gained significant administrative understanding of the legal industry.

In 2012, Ms. Terry received her J.D. from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law.  She was awarded the George W. Woodruff Scholarship and served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Mercer Law Review.  While in law school, she received the Faculty Legal Writing Award and awards for her performance in Property, Contracts, and Appellate Practice and Procedure.  She was the treasurer of the Legal Aid Volunteer Association and was named as Mercer’s 2012 Outstanding Law Student by the National Association of Women Lawyers. 


Tennessee Unemployment Rates Down In 62 Counties, Up In 23, And No Change In 10

County unemployment rates in Tennessee for April 2013, released Thursday, show the rate decreased in 62 counties, increased in 23, and stayed the same in ten.
