Police Blotter: Thieves Hit Signal Mountain Road Walmart, Escape On Railroad Tracks

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

The manager of the Walmart on Signal Mountain Road said four "suspicious-looking" black females came into the store, then left and got into a maroon PT Cruiser.

One of the women came back inside and began stuffing items into her purse, including a $130 TMobile Android cellphone. Then she rushed out a fire exit.

As she was being chased, the PT Cruiser left. The woman shoplifter began to hoof it down the nearby railroad tracks.

Police did not catch the shoplifter, but they located the PT Cruiser nearby. Those inside included Alexeus Ross and Dutchess Lykes.

At the same Walmart, a black male filled his buggy then went out front without bothering to pay.

An older-model, two-tone Chevrolet van was waiting for him.

However, this shoplifter, too, ended up on the rails. He was last seen headed toward Bi-Lo.

Her neighbor reported hearing a loud noise, then seeing three young black males wearing red hoodies running into woods behind the duplex.

Ms. Carthorn found that, after getting inside by pushing in an AC unit, they had removed a 60" TV, an XBox 360 and a PlayStation 2.

She found the TV in the woods.

Police noticed that two shots had penetrated the front of the house.

Her 42" TV and VCR were removed.

Two men were in the rear of a residence at Carriage Parc Drive watching TV when one went to the front and spotted a black male inside the apartment.

He was 20-25, 5'10" and 160 pounds. He was also described as balding.

The intruder got into a 1990s maroon GMC Yukon.

He was followed to Hamilton Place, where he stopped, got out and pointed a handgun at his pursuers.

A woman on Dodds Avenue told police she had been hit in the head. She said something had come at her from a vehicle or else someone came up and slugged her.

She had no visible injuries and an acquaintance came up and said she was just trying to get pain medication that she was hooked on.

Roy Exum: Hypocrisy And Horses

I am still wincing over the fact a horrendous bill passed in the state legislature that would make whistle-blowers into criminals would have actually gone into law had it not been for Governor Bill Haslam’s eleventh-hour veto. Called the “Ag-Gag bill,” similar efforts in other states have also soured because it is no more than a Catch-22 trick to protect those who abuse animals, ... (click for more)
