I read with interest this article and in particular the following excerpt " Meanwhile, officials in the sheriff's office said they would crack down on some court officers using handicap placards to be able to park free next to the Courts Building during their full shifts. Don Gorman said the officers were told that would no longer be allowed."
In 2009 the supervisor of the court officers was informed that this was going on and he said that he would take care of it. As I and others watched we noticed that nothing was done and the practice continued.
Question is, why is the sheriff's department just now putting a stop to this practice? Did the court officer supervisor not inform the administration that this practice was going on? As an officer of the law you are supposed to enforce the law not break it.
