Monterius Rollins Shot And Killed On Arcadia Circle; Investigation Continues

One person is dead after a shooting on Friday afternoon. He was identified as 18-year-old Monterius Rollins.

Chattanooga Police officers responded at 3:22 p.m. to a person shot  at 1111 Arcadia Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered a  black male with a  gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 

There is no suspect information at this time.

This case is pending.

All School Board Members But Rhonda Thurman Approve Going Ahead With Equity Study

All County School Board members except Rhonda Thurman said Thursday afternoon they are in favor of pushing ahead with an equity study sought by new Supt. Bryan Johnson. Ms. Thurman said she was "tired of bullying tactics by outside groups" such as UnifiEd and Chattanooga 2.0. WWTA Sewer Basin 10 Rehabilitation Project In East Ridge Begins On Friday

WWTA has commenced rehabilitating the aging sewer pipe lines of Basin 10. This $7million project consists of evaluating the current conditions of the sewer lines and repairing any damaged pipes.
