Deborah Ann “Debbie” Tabor, 43, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at a local hospital. A native of, Bluefield, West Virginia, she was a long-time Chattanooga resident.
Debbie was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church and had been a long-time member of North River Christian Church. She was a cardiac RN at Memorial Hospital. Debbie was known as a leader, encourager and a role model for many.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Griffith; grandparents, Charlie and Grace Davis and James and Eunice Griffith and father-in-law, Donald Tabor Sr.
Survivors include Don Tabor, her husband of 26 years; daughter, Kristen Tabor and son, Matt Tabor; her mother, Dot Griffith; mother-in-law, Margaret Tabor and special cousins, Cristal Tabor and Mike Davis.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the North Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. at North Chapel with David McNabb officiating; burial in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association, 519 East 4th St., Chattanooga, Tn. 37403.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
