East Hamilton, Red Bank Advance In 6-AA Volleyball

Championship Match Set For 6:30 Thursday at Hixson

It will be the East Hamilton Lady Hurricanes facing the top-seed Red Bank Lionettes on Thursday at Hixson in the championship match of the District 6-AA volleyball tournament.

East Hamilton advanced with a 3-0 win over Central while Red Bank defeated Hixson, 3-1.

The Lady Hurricanes, who entered the tournament as the third seed, beat second-seeded Central by scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-16.

Rogers, 20, Shot Twice While Standing On His Porch

A 20-year-old man was shot twice while standing on his porch on Monday night. At approximately 8:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Walker Street.
