Battle Academy Hosts Battle Banzai Fall Festival On Saturday

Battle Banzai, Battle Academy’s signature fall festival, is this Saturday, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and everyone is invited. 

The festival will take place on the school campus at the corner of Main and Market in the Southside. This year’s theme is “Poppin’ Through the Decades on Main” and activities will center around the 1930’s-1980’s.  

Children will enjoy games, “factivities” and inflatables, while adults will enjoy browsing the silent auction, attending the live auction at noon, and shopping local artisans for holiday gifts. Everyone will savor food from Sticky Fingers, Chattanooga Burger Company, Lupi’s, and other area food purveyors. 

Items available for auction include a $1,000 gift certificate from Chattanooga Closet Co., a handmade heirloom quality doll bed, an original painting by Carylon Killebrew and more. 

Admission is free. Ativities, inflatables and games are ticket based with each ticket costing $0.50 while food purchases will require cash.

Woman Found Dead On Lovell Road; Police Looking For Terry Releford

A woman was found dead on Sunday morning at 8912 Lovell Road, and police are seeking a "person of interest" in the case. Deputies responded to that location at approximately 8 a.m. on a suspicious death. On arrival "deputies found a dead female in her 30s deceased from an apparent homicide."
