Bryan Seniors Showcase Talent In Potpourri

  • Thursday, November 1, 2012

Six Bryan College seniors will have the opportunity to showcase their abilities when they present “Anything Goes: A Potpourri of Broadway Melodies” Friday, Nov. 16.

Mr. Bernie Belisle, head of Bryan’s theatre program, said the program will present scenes from favorite Broadway shows such as “Fiddler on the Roof” and “West Side Story” to the Disney movie “Tangled.”

Seniors in the musical theatre program are required to prepare a presentation for the annual program, he said, and theatre majors are encouraged to do so.

“We started work on this last spring,” Mr. Belisle explained. “The students developed a theme and chose the music based on the theme. They were responsible for everything; for getting people to help, designing the costumes, and building the set, with some help.”

Students involved include Emilie Belisle, Alexis Landry, Brian Huff, Meghan Jones, Mariana Sterne, and Lucy Moore.

The free concert will be presented in Rudd Auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m.
