Man Shot On Orchard Knob Avenue Early Saturday Morning

Chattanooga Police responded at 4:54 a.m. Saturday to a shooting that occurred in the 600 block of North Orchard Knob Avenue.  

The victim, Stephen Strickland, 25, had been transported to a local hospital via a personally-owned vehicle where he was treated for the non-life threatening injury. It was reported to investigators that Strickland was walking down the sidewalk when he was shot by an unknown suspect.  

The investigation is on-going, and it is believed that Strickland was targeted by the suspect and that it was not a random shooting.

Eppard, 32, Charged With Aggravated Statutory Rape After 17-Year-Old He Was Living With Has Baby

Police have charged 32-year-old Anthony John Eppard with aggravated statutory rape after the 17-year-old girl he was living with had a baby.
