East Ridge Observes Holiday Schedule

East Ridge city offices and services will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 22 and 23 in observance of Thanksgiving. For businesses and residents who have Thursday garbage pickup, their garbage will be collected on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Please have trash carts to the road the night before Tuesday.

 

Also, there will be no brush, bulk, leaf or recycling pickup this week.

For those with recycling services on Friday, Nov. 23, your recycling will be picked up on Monday, Nov. 26 and will resume as normal the following week. All services will resume the week of Nov. 26-30, with both sides receiving services for leaf and recycling pickup.

 

Regular alternating schedules will resume as normal starting Dec. 3

Hutcheson Medical Center May Get Bankruptcy Trustee Who Would Focus On Sale Of Fort Oglethorpe Hospital

Hutcheson Medical Center may be headed for appointment of a bankruptcy trustee, who would focus on the sale of the financially-strapped Fort Oglethorpe hospital. Hutcheson Medical Center Unsecured Creditors Committee Asks Trustee Be Appointed For Fort Oglethorpe Hospital; Asks Bankruptcy Not Be Dismissed

The Unsecured Creditors Committee of Hutcheson Medical Center is opposing a motion by U.S. Trustee Guy Gebhardt for a bankruptcy judge to dismiss the bankruptcy for the financially-ailing Fort Oglethorpe hospital.   Instead, the group is asking Judge Paul Bonapfel to appoint a trustee to oversee the Hutcheson finances.
