There's A Presidential Election Next Tuesday

Friday, November 02, 2012

I have been a contributor and reader of Chattanoogan.com. for years. I am surprised, with a national election of epic proportions on top of us, that the pages are not aflame with opinions, positions, charges and counter charges. Are the Chattanooga readers and writers so consumed with local races that they are not going to comment on the presidential race? Well, I am.

In my 56 years, and I have been involved in politics since 1971, have I ever seen such a clear decision. President Obama has provided me with fodder for my writing over and over, he does not ever hide his true ambitions regarding subject very well. Quite frankly, I can read him like a book, classic liberal, educated in the finest liberal traditions and tutored by Communists in beautiful Hawaii. And let's never forget Vice President Joe Biteme, I mean Biden. He will keep SNL and other comedy shows with material for years.

Now for the dark side. The death of Ambassador Chris Stevens, in the Al-Queda saturated country of Libya is an American disgrace. Repeated communications from Amb. Stevens to the State Department, requesting in the strongest possible terms, the need for armed security went ignored. Newly discovered cables from Stevens to the highest level of the State Department explaining in great detail the threat as he saw it, is the smoking gun of this massacre.

President Obama is trying his best to keep this from exploding in his face before the election. Those of us who keep up with current events closely already know that the death of four Americans is a scar on Obama’s face that cannot be wiped away. He hopes that the less informed, the Obama Minions, the voters that have no clue, will keep getting their news from MTV, Yahoo ( I heard a woman on the radio today that said that is where she gets the news and proud of it) and other high quality locations like the main street news on TV. How about that great work in High Times and Rolling Stone.

I know that Romney is going to win, the momentum is rolling. I hope I am right for all our sakes. We cannot survive four more years of the Celebrity in Chief.

Questionable Moc Coaching Choices - And Response

David Blackburn proved that he rolled an elder vice chancellor to hire Will Wade. I can't find one game Wade coached. Should we think he is a better coach than the Georgia coach that won the SEC? At least four jobs were open in and around Wade's hometown, Nashville. No one mentioned his name. While Blackburn was preaching in the Chattanoogan Room about the fairness of the ... Clowns - And Response (2)

Back in 1973 Stephen Sondheim wrote a song for a Broadway play he titled Send in The Clowns. It subsequently became popular fare for many artists including Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey and others, becoming a popular hit, twice, for '60's activist and protester Judy Collins. I first thought of it as just another boring, elevator music attempt by a former HippyChic to pump up her ... (click for more)

Officials in the Sheriff's Department said a warrant was not obtained early Saturday morning to go inside a house where over 20 allegedly beer-drinking teens were partying because a magistrate said he was about to get off duty and wouldn't wait over. Notre Dame Falls In State Soccer Tournament

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- After scoring a goal 15 minutes into Tuesday’s TSSAA Class A/AA soccer quarterfinal and holding that lead for the next 23 minutes, Notre Dame felt good about its chances of advancing to the state semifinals. Two plays from White House’s Luis Vital prevented the Irish from doing so. The sophomore scored the equalizer two minutes before halftime, and in ... (click for more)
