The Hate-Based Rhetoric Dominates - And Response (2)

Friday, November 02, 2012

I was reading editorials in the local newspaper from the people in our region about why they would vote Republican and/or for Romney.

I am fully convinced I live in a region that is hate-based, racist, greedy, backwards, and ignorant. Makes me ill.

It is not everybody; there are many intelligent thoughtful people here as well. The hate-based rhetoric just seems to drown out the positivity and the unity of sensible caring people. Hopefully, the paper just prints the really crazy ones to get the public fired up. I really, really hate to think there are that many crooked, immoral people in my part of this beautiful country.

Ms. Madaris doesn’t appreciate “hate-based rhetoric” but her letter accuses her neighbors of being “immoral”, “racist”, “backward” “greedy”, and “crooked”. I suppose such words are considered “love-based rhetoric” if uttered by those who lean to the Left.

Chattanooga is a transportation hub and one wishing to leave our region has many available options. No one need suffer illness as a consequence of exposure to the opinions of free Chattanoogans.

I first thought of it as just another boring, elevator music attempt by a former HippyChic to pump up her ... (click for more)

Today the book is a classic and I have marveled ever since over how unbelievable human ... (click for more)
