Joseph Byron “Joe” Cox, 73, of Hixson, retired captain of the Chattanooga Fire Department, died on Sunday, November 4, 2012. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Father Charlie Burton officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. 

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 12-1 p.m. on Thursday at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, 423 877-3524.

Carlys Ann Hill passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017. 2 Shot On Rawlings Street Friday Night; 1 In Critical Condition

Two people were shot, Friday night, and one is in critical condition. At approximately  9:56 p.m.  Chattanooga Police officers responded to the 2000 block of Rawlings Street on a report of a person shot.
