Phipps, Margaret Dillard (Dalton)

Margaret Dillard Phipps, 83, of Dalton, GA, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012. 

She was the daughter of the late James and Katherine Hayes Dillard; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “ Buster” Phipps. 

Margaret was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, she was a secretary and Para-Pro at Dawnville Elementary School and also worked for Ruth and Doyles Florist. 

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Debbie Phipps and Jamey and Beth Phipps all of Dalton; grandchildren, Chad, Jay, Hayden and Tanner; special cousin, Myra Johnson; and other cousins and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 6 in the Chapel of Love funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Floyd officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday, November 5 from 5-9 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 200 W. Emery St., Dalton, GA 30720.

Williamson, Betty Faye (Copperhill)

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover. Woman Found Dead On Lovell Road; Police Looking For Terry Releford

A woman was found dead on Sunday morning at 8912 Lovell Road, and police are seeking a "person of interest" in the case.
