Caris Healthcare Hosts Free Grief Workshop

Caris Healthcare, a hospice provider, is holding a free grief workshop entitled “Coping with the Holidays”. The event is open to anyone who has lost a loved one even if they were not under Hospice care. 


The workshop will be held at The Morning Pointe of Ooltewah, 9650 Leyland Drive at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13. Light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP to 899-4044.

Marrow Donor Registry Drive To Be Held May 20 For HCEMS Paramedic Needing Transplant

There will be a marrow donor registry on Tuesday, May 20, for Will Frawley, 28, who is a Hamilton County paramedic. Mr. Frawley has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome and is in need of a bone marrow transplant. Mr. Frawley has been in the EMS field for 13 years, and is scheduled to be married in June. Catoosa Man Convicted Of Sexual Abuse Of 5 Young Girls Gets Life Plus 250 Years

A Catoosa County man convicted of the sexual abuse of five young girls and possession of child pornography has been sentenced to life plus 250 years. James Martin Ferris, 34, was found guilty after a recent trial. The day after his conviction, Judge Ralph Van Pelt set the sentence. Jury Finds Glover Not Guilty Of Attempted Aggravated Robbery

A Criminal Court jury on Tuesday night found 22-year-old Imari Glover not guilty of the charge of attempted aggravated robbery. The trial only lasted several hours, and the panel deliberated about two hours.
