Berlin Watkins, 88, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, November 5, 2012 at her home.  

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Greater Friendship Primitive Baptist Church with Elder James Penny officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The body will lie in state after noon on Monday, Nov. 12, and the family will receive friends from 7–8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.



Vinson, Coy

Coy Vinson, 82, a lifelong resident of Harrison, died on Monday, May 25, 2015. He was predeceased by his wife, Reba Vinson; brothers, Tom Vinson of Ohio, J.C. Vinson of Chattanooga and grandson, Steven Brumlow. Andrew “J.D.” Richard, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away early Friday morning, May 29, 2015 at his residence. He was retired from Wheland Foundry after 30 years of service. He was a member of Bryant Baptist Church. Sadie Byers, 68, of Dalton, Georgia, died Thursday morning, May 28, 2015 at Quinton Memorial Health Care. Wanda Sue Pelfrey, 71, of Red Bank and formerly of Rhea County, died at her home Wednesday, May 28, 2015. She was born in Graysville on June 17, 1943 and was a graduate of Rhea Central High School. Work To Start Later This Year On Major Reworking Of U.S. 27 Downtown; 31 Walls To Be Erected As Cameron Hill Faces More Cuts

Work is set to start later this year on the $80 million reworking of U.S. 27 in downtown Chattanooga.
