Coca Cola And Sweet Georgia Sound At Chattanooga Market Sunday

Monday, November 5, 2012

The Chattanooga Market will pay tribute to Coca Cola and the Big Band music of Sweet Georgia Sound on Sunday.

Market patrons will peruse the Coca Cola memorabilia showcase and listen to the melodies from the big band era.  Sweet Georgia Sound is a 20-member ensemble that has played in the Chattanooga area since 1994.  The band plays a variety of listening, dance, and ballroom dance music that includes classic and modern big band, swing, Latin, and waltz tunes.  The dance floor will be set up directly in front of the stage for those who want to jitterbug.

Market artists and craftsman have been designing and hand-making gift offerings for the upcoming shopping season.  Chattanooga Market will have a Thanksgiving Day themed Sunday on Nov. 18, but will be closed the following Sunday, Nov. 25, for the actual Thanksgiving weekend.
