Veteran's Day Event Offered At Hamilton Place Mall On Saturday

Veterans and their families are invited to attend Veteran Friendly Chattanooga 2012 this Saturday, from 12-4 p.m. at Hamilton Place Mall.  The event is to thank military friendly employers for giving veterans a fighting chance for a better future. 

This event is sponsored by VetForce1, an organization that assists veterans to make a successful transition from military service to civilian life through programs and services that address the fundamental need for meaningful employment and a better future for the vets and their families.

Darrius Starling, 24, Shot Twice In Miller Park

Darrius Starling, 24, was shot twice in Miller Park on Tuesday afternoon. Chattanooga Police responded to the 900 block of Market Street on the report of a disorder between two people. Judge Denies Motion By Walker County To Delay Closing Of Hutcheson Hospital

A bankruptcy judge in Atlanta on Tuesday denied a motion by Walker County, Ga., is asking a delay in closing Hutcheson Medical Center and laying off employees.
