Rep. Eric Watson Wins In House District 22

Rep. Eric Watson was an election winner in House District 22,  defeating Democrat Jonathan Gladden 17,282 to 4,943.

“I am humbled by the outpouring of 17,300 votes of support from the 22nd District,” said Rep. Watson. “Voters know I am committed to our conservative values while doing all I can to jumpstart job growth in our region and limit government interference in our lives. I appreciate this vote of confidence.”

House Majority Leader Gerald McCormick said, “In the next General Assembly, we are going to continue focusing on private sector job growth, strengthening educational opportunities for our children, and stopping government waste.

“Chairman Watson has been an important part of our team in the Capitol and I am proud he is coming back. Tennesseans are proud of what we have done and they want us to continue our strong record of reform.”

26,228 Cast Ballots In First 5 Days Of Early Voting In Hamilton County

In the first five days of early voting in Hamilton County, 26,228 have already cast ballots. That includes 2,200 ballots received by mail. There were 5,157 who turned out at early voting sites on Wednesday and 5,083 on Thursday. The total on Friday was 5,011, and it was 3,818 on Saturday. The turnout on Monday was 5,552.
