Martha Ann Johnson, 82, of Harrison, died at her home on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 4-8 p.m. and 10-11 a.m. on Friday in Greenwood Baptist Church to share memories and condolences.  The Reverends Toby Brogden and James Vaughn will conduct the service at 11 a.m. in the church.

Interment will be held in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Covenant Funeral & Cremation Service, Crox family owned and operated.

City Seeking Grant To Improve Signals At 32 Intersections

The city is seeking a $2 million federal grant to go along with $500,000 in city funds for a project to improve signals at 32 intersections. There would also be bike and pedestrian improvements. The routes include Brainerd Road, Lee Highway, Shallowford Road, Gunbarrel Road and Hamilton Place Boulevard. The application is for a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Grant. (click for more)
