Mattie Lee Davis Shadrick, 71, of Jasper, TN, passed away, Monday, November 5, 2012, at her home.

She worked in banking for many years. She attended Community Fellowship Church in Jasper.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Dillard Shadrick; and parents, John White and Lottie Louise Davis.

Mrs. Shadrick is survived by her husband, Charlie David Shadrick, of Jasper; son, Jimmy Shadrick, of Jasper; granddaughter, Chrystal (Brad) Dunn; great-granddaughters, Bailey Christina and Kaitlyn Paige Dunn, of Shelbyville; brothers, Calloway (Frieda) Davis, of Cornersville, TN and R. L. (Wanda) Davis, of Jasper; sisters-in-law, Sue (Harry) Evans and Jean Trundle, both of Jasper; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. CST on Thursday, November 8. Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. CST, Wednesday, November 7 at the Tate Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.

Woman Stabbed To Death On Hooker Road; Man Injured

A young woman was stabbed to death on Hooker Road early Friday morning and a man was injured. At approximately 1:54 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at the 4000 block of Hooker Road.
