Coker, Muriel (Rocky Face)

Muriel Coker, 91, of Rocky Face, GA, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Hospice of Chattanooga.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Coker; parents, Emma and Lee Helton; sister, Jewel Kimbler; brother, Leonard Helton; and grandson, Jeffrey Coker.

She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Turtletown, TN.

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Doug Couch of Dalton, Phyllis and Lamar Hayes of Rocky Face and Brenda and Bill Brown of Georgetown; two sons and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sue Coker and Larry Coker, all of Decatur, TN; sisters, Mildred Newman of Cleveland and Betty Denton of Hixson; grandchildren, Steve Bigham, Renee Long, Keith Hayes, Amy McNelley, Bryan Loudermilk, Tammy Dements, James Coker, Stephanie Echols and Kenneth Coker; 18 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 8 at 11 a.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Van Smith officiating. Burial will be at Little Brasstown Baptist Church Cemetery in Brasstown, NC.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, November 7 from 5-9 p.m.
