Lou Jessie Chain, 76, died on November 3, 2012 at a local hospice facility.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, Nov. 9, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.

A 30-year-old Hixson man has been charged with making threats to kill General Sessions Court Judge Lila Statom after police said they found evidence to tie him to recent threats against the judge. Man Arrested For Confronting Southside Grocery Employee With Gun

Brandon Jamal Appleberry, 27, was arrested on Monday after an altercation with an employee at Southside Grocery on West 38 th Street, officers said.
