Ellena Lynn, 87, of Rocky Face, GA, died Thursday morning, November 8, 2012 at the Murray Medical Center in Chatsworth.

Ellena was born September 17, 1925 in Murray County, GA, a daughter of the late Mashburn and Alice Henson Parker; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Marvin Lee Lynn; a daughter, Betty Dill; and brothers, Joe Parker, Everett Parker, John Pierce and Donald Pierce. 

She was retired from Galaxy Carpet. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and David Dailey; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Susie Phillips all of Chatsworth; step-sons, Rick Lynn of New Jersey and Ronald Lynn of Oxford, OH; step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Kathy and Eddie Hassler of Fairfield, OH, Pat and Dale Reed of Oxford, OH; sister, Dimple Arnold of Dalton, GA; ten grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ellena Lynn will be held Saturday, November 10, at 4:30 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jerry Clark officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Murray Memorial Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 9 and after 12 p.m. Saturday, November 10 at the Ponders Melrose Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
