Betty Arlene Patterson, 77, of Resaca, GA, died Thursday morning, November 8, 2012 at the Regency Park Health Care Center in Dalton.

Betty was born February 17, 1935 in Union County, GA, a daughter of the late Arnold and Nell McGaha Butts; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilburne "Curley" Patterson; a son, Jackie Kendall; brother, Sammy Butts; and sisters, Pauline Stephens, Ruby Hyde, Lucille Jordan and Juanita Kelly. 

She is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Randy and Christie Patterson of Adairsville, GA and Marlene Kendall of Resaca; daughter, Carolyn Kendall of Rocky Face; sisters, Bobbie Coker, Louise Owenby and Claudine Southern all of Blairsville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. 

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Betty Arlene Patterson will be held Saturday, November, 10, at 2:30 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakman, GA. 

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 9 and after 12 p.m. Saturday, November 10 at the Ponders Melrose Chapel, who has charge of the arrangements.


Williamson, Betty Faye (Copperhill)

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night.
