Brenda Annette Stokes, 64, of Dalton, GA, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at her residence. 

She was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father Edward Lee Bowie.

Survivors are her son, Marvin Maynard Stokes of Atlanta; mother, Ester Kate Maynard; three sisters, Carol Cannon, Judy Alford and Barbara (Kenneth) Willis all of Dalton; special friend, Carolyn (Mitchell) Cooper; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be Monday, November 12, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry L. Burse and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state one hour before the service until the funeral hour.  Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
