Ruby W. Foster, 90, died on December 12, 2012 at a local health care facility.  

She was born in Chattanooga, on Dec. 12, 1922, to Sam and Katie Wheeler.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bozentown where she was an Usher Board member. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Foster; parents; sister, Jane Whitker and brother, Fred Wheeler. 

She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Watley; son, James Foster; sisters, Lena Cameron and Gwendolyn Mack; and two devoted nieces, Harriett (McDaniel) Bowman and Margo Cameron; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Cleages Chapel AME Zion Church on Monday, Dec. 17, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Dexter Cummings officiating and the eulogy by Pastor McDaniel Bowman. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Sunday, Dec. 16, until 8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
