Oglesby, Lois Gray

Lois Gray Akers Oglesby, 90, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Sunday, December 16, 2012. 

A resident of the Catoosa County area for the past 60 years, she was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Oglesby, Sr.; son, Ross Oglesby; sister, Avis Akers and brothers, Emmons, Riley, Oza, Ires, Shelby and Carl Akers. 

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Marty and Robin Lee Oglesby of Ringgold, and Oscar Oglesby Jr. of Cloudland, Ga.; two sisters, Veola Robertson of Mt. Juliet, Tn., and Joyce Warren of Bethany, Ok.; sister-in-law, Helen Akers of Ringgold, granddaughter, Mary Oglesby of Illinois, several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-South. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec. 18, from 5-9 p.m., and Wednesday until funeral time at the funeral home. 

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold.

Downtown Landmark The James Building Sold For The 2nd Time In 2 Years
