Elizabeth Darlene Brown, 59, died on December 15, 2012.
She was born in Pikeville, Tennessee, on May 4, 1953. She was a veteran of 13 years serving as a military police office in the U.S. Army.
She is survived by her parents, James A. and Mary C. Bridgeman; her children, Crystal Brown, Thomas (Anea) Brown, Jr. and Letricia (Joey) Shockley; her siblings, James R. (Kelly), Jasper, Samuel, Lyndon Bridgeman and Martha (Sam) Goines; grandchildren, Elijah, Bria, Kendrick, Cameron, Trey, Aiden, Peyton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon at Cleages Chapel AME church on Wednesday, Dec. 19. Interment will be in National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
The body will lie in state after noon on Tuesday at the John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
