Soddy-Daisy Second In State Wrestling Poll

The Soddy-Daisy wrestling team jumped ahead of Cleveland in the latest state wrestling coaches poll. 

Christian Brothers remained in the top spot. 

McCallie, Baylor, Bradley Central and Walker Valley are also in the top twelve.

 

Now in its 21st year, The Poll is primarily a measure of dual meet strength with some consideration to individual tournament strength. Votes are cast by a state-wide panel of high school wrestling coaches and are based on a maximum Power Ranking of 100%.

Lee Softball Drops Doubleheader To No. 12 West Florida

The Lee softball team saw its bats silenced by the red hot pitching staff of the No. 12 West Florida Argonauts as they dropped both games of Saturday's Gulf South Conference doubleheader. 2nd Severe Storm In 2 Days Hammers Hamilton County; Saturday Storm Caused Damage On Signal Mountain; Widespread Power Outages Reported

The second severe storm in two days was hammering Hamilton County on Sunday evening. The county was among the areas under a tornado warning. Lymorris Martin, 59, Stabbed To Death; Rachel Green, 51, Is Arrested

Chattanooga Police responded to the 3200 block of Broad Street early Sunday morning to a person who had been stabbed.   Upon arrival, officers with the Chattanooga Police Department located Lymorris Martin, 59, who had received multiple stab wounds.
