Downtown Parking Meters Won't Be Enforced On Christmas, New Years Day

The Chattanooga Parking Authority has announced downtown parking meters will not be enforced (and need not be paid) on both Christmas and New Years Day.

Paid parking will be suspended at on street meters for the following holidays in 2013:

                        New Year’s Day

                        ML King Jr. Day

                        Good Friday

                        Memorial Day

                        Independence Day

                        Labor Day

                        Thanksgiving Day

                        Christmas Day


Parking in an unlawful area (bus or loading zones, yellow curb, no parking, handicap space, Fort Wood Residential District, etc.) are enforceable 24 hours/7days a week.
