Brainerd Bells Lead Worship At Brainerd United Methodist

The Brainerd Bells will celebrate Christmas during the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, at  Brainerd United Methodist Church, 4315 Brainerd Road, accompanied by Janet Hale, flute; Anthony Henderson, percussion; and Jeff Scofield, piano. During the service musical offerings will feature solos by Ivy  Dodson, Betsy Craig and Alice Marie Clark Danks.

At both the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services, Dr. Dennis Flaugher will speak on "Mary Visits Elizabeth," with text from Luke 1:39-45. A reception honoring Jimmy Goddard will be held in the Atrium from 10:15-10:45 a.m. From 5-6 p.m., musicians at Christmas at the Jam will play only Christmas music. There will be refreshments, fellowship and a skit with Nelda Jarvis.

 

A Christmas Eve candlelight service Monday, Dec. 24,  will begin at 5:30 p.m. with music. The service at 6 will include holy communion and candlelight.

2 Men Arrested In April 24 Stabbing At Rossville Boulevard Bar

Two men have been arrested in a stabbing at a Rossville Boulevard bar on April 24. Both suspects in the case were identified and warrants were taken out for their arrest.
